A Division 1 Walmart store which had a smaller footprint than Supercenters and lacked grocery items was remodelling a portion of the 122,317 square foot store. The scope of work included remodelling 38,527 square foot of the store with the addition of an 8,565 square foot extension for expanded general merchandise and a full grocery assortment. Additionally, as part of the remodeling project, they were demoing 172' of double door and triple door cases and replacing them with new units. Four RCU's (Remote Condensing Units) were also being removed and replaced.
Lowe Rental collaborated with the general contractor (GC) to phase the unit installations according to the project's schedule. Initially, three cold rooms (including 1 cooler and 2 freezers) were installed, followed by 17 G8C units when the GC was ready. This phased approach ensured efficient coordination and smooth progress of the project.
